Welcome to SAVIC Website
We are youth led Community-Based Organization working in Kakuma Refugee Camp, in Turkana, northern Kenya. As a team built of enthusiastic, dedicated and dynamic young people, we believe in the resilience, potential, and power of young refugees to create a better and empowered future for themselves. Using a community-based approach, we empower adolescents and young people in Kakuma Refugee Camp to regain agency (power or control) over their own lives, first by having agency over one’s own body and reproductive health. With that control, refugee youth are better able to pursue education and livelihood activities in order to gain economic independence.
Motto: “Protecting the future of displaced youth”
